“Woman’s Best Friend” Returns to Lockhart for a One-Night-Only Tribute to Women and Their Dogs
Second Annual Fine Art Exhibition Showcases 75 Women; Proceeds Support Lockhart Animal Shelter

Lockhart, TX, one night. Seventy-five women. And the loyal dogs who changed their lives. On Friday, November 7, Jennifer Lindberg Studio welcomes back Woman’s Best Friend, a deeply personal, one-night-only exhibition celebrating the powerful bond between women and their dogs.
Now in its second year, the event features over 75 women captured in timeless black-and-white portraiture, each image a tribute to love, loss, resilience, and connection. Every print and digital portrait was created by fine art photographer and former photojournalist Jennifer Lindberg, whose work has appeared in The New York Times and Marie Claire.
Set within Lindberg’s restored portrait studio in historic downtown Lockhart, the event offers more than photography; it’s a collective portrait of devotion. Digital storytelling pairs with traditional analog film to create an immersive experience that’s both intimate and unforgettable.
All proceeds from sales during the event will benefit the Lockhart Animal Shelter, supporting the next generation of best friends still waiting to be found.
“We kept hearing these stories, of dogs who walked with women through heartbreak, healing, even new beginnings,” says Lindberg. “This exhibition gives those stories a place to be seen.”
