Making a Difference: Jennifer Lindberg Studio’s Commitment to Giving Back
Jennifer Lindberg Studio’s Charity Community Projects
At Jennifer Lindberg Portrait Studio, giving back to the community isn’t just a gesture – it’s a vow. It’s a deep-rooted, unshakeable commitment that fuels our passion, purpose, and projects every single day. We truly believe in the power of giving back, returning the favor, and how doing so can launch meaningful change in our world and uplift those in need. Through our charitable photography campaigns and the support of the families, individuals, and beloved pets who entrust us with capturing their portraits, we’ve been able to channel our collective efforts into making a positive impact on the world around us and in our communities.
Our portrait studio is especially committed to supporting nonprofits that serve a range of causes close to our hearts. From championing the well-being of underserved children and individuals with disabilities to nurturing the arts, advocating for animal welfare, and contributing to the fight against diseases such as heart disease and HIV, our aim in giving back is to address pressing issues head-on to improve lives in our Central Texas and beyond. These projects are not only a reflection of our values but also a testament to the generosity and warmth of our clients, our community, and our supporters. With you, we are taking strides towards building a brighter future for everyone.

Advocating for Animal Welfare
Whether through fundraising initiatives, partnerships, or our own experiences with rescue animals, the well-being of animals holds a special place in our hearts. For studio owners Jenn and Jim, the commitment to animal welfare hits close to home. In 2022, they welcomed a senior Boxer into their family from Austin/Lone Star Rescue, whose wagging tail and toothless smile didn’t just change their lives for the better but also reignited their drive to do more for animals in need. After losing him to Advanced Heartworm disease in 2024, they foster-adopted again, growing their pack through rescue.
The Studio is proud to have collaborated with Austin Pets Alive! and the Animal Defense League of San Antonio, first on a stunning coffee table book of black-and-white dog portraits: Stay, Volume I, and then partnered again with APA! for a second book, Stay, Volume II. Embarking on these projects, listening to and learning the rescue stories of so many pups, and capturing the individual characters of these beloved companions through dog portraits was an absolute pleasure.
What’s better, the pleasure was not just ours. These coffee table books showcase the beauty and bond between dogs and their human companions, with all profits from book sales going back to support APA! and the Animal Defense League of San Antonio. By joining hands with compassionate animal welfare groups like these, and of course, with the help of those who came into our portrait studio to participate in this campaign, we’ve raised over $33,000 to support the mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for our furry friends in need.
Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness
In the fight against breast cancer, finding support, education, and resources can make all the difference. That’s where Breast Cancer Resource Center, TX, comes in. As a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength for individuals and families affected by breast cancer, BCRC offers comprehensive support, educational programs, and vital resources tailored to meet the diverse needs of those navigating their breast cancer journey.
The studio is honored to have collaborated with the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas on A Loving Bond: Mothers and their Children, a powerful collection of portraits dedicated to and inspired by our client, Maria Garrett, who encouraged us to fundraise for the BCRC Texas and for helping us to understand and clarify our mission in a profound way through a brief 10 minute illuminating conversation after her family’s portrait session. (Maria is an executive coach and CEO of MG Leadership Coaching and Consulting) This project was a labor of love, capturing the cherished bond between mothers and their children through intimate sessions with participating families.
Our collaboration brought together moms from diverse backgrounds – from breast cancer survivors reclaiming their narratives to those eager to step out from behind the camera and stand beside their children in front of the lens, all while supporting a meaningful cause. We are deeply grateful for their trust, support, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
With the invaluable support of the families who participated in this project, we’ve raised over $16,000 and every purchase of the book directly supported the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas, ensuring that vital resources and support are provided to individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
Empowering Children with Disabilities
At Jennifer Lindberg Studio, our dedication to making a difference extends to every child, including children of all ability levels. That’s why we’ve partnered with Kinetic Kids of Central Texas, an organization that tirelessly works to provide therapeutic programs and recreational activities for children with disabilities.
Through our collaboration with Kinetic Kids, we’ve embarked on two exciting projects: Reach and Reach 2. These dynamic black-and-white portrait collections feature student-athletes from all over Texas who unite to raise funds ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, can enjoy the joys of sports and the belonging of team.
The Reach initiative was born out of a desire to support Kinetic Kids during challenging times, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which left the organization facing a 30 percent budget shortfall. (We were honored to have a feature about this project on the news!) After two rounds of photographing over 100 student athletes with their trophies, medals, uniforms, and gear, we came away with not only powerful and moving portraits, but also $9,400 raised to directly support Kinetic Kids of Texas, doing our part to ensure that essential resources and support are available to children with disabilities in our community.
