Why Dads in Hats? As portrait artists, we are continually trying new techniques and creative concepts for both posing and lighting. We’re looking for Dads with hats to work with for this new creative project and we may use one of your portraits in our social media portfolio! We’re looking for Dads who love hats of all styles to come in to the Studio with their hats–and their families–for this project!

Having portraits MADE is a fun experience with your kids and is a confidence-builder for them. displaying portraits of your family is a POTENT visual reminder of how much you love them.

CAN I BUY THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

Of course! While there’s absolutely no obligation to buy any of the images, you will have a fun and very special viewing session on Zoom where you look at your stunning portraits one week after your shoot in the comfort of your own home. Should you fall head over heels (which we’re pretty sure you will) with any of your images, we’ll help guide you through the options, ensuring the best fit for you and your family. At that time, you can apply your gift certificate toward any purchase.

Our artwork starts at $495; and most clients typically spend $1500 and up on their selected portraits.

How Do I Book My Session?

To book your session, please fill out our short form below. We’ll review it quickly and get in touch with you via text and email. We book all of our sessions after a short phone call to confirm we’re a good fit and to select your session and reveal dates. Sessions are limited and are being scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to respond quickly if we contact you.

Our Pop Up Studio is located in Centrally in Houston in the Washington Avenue Coalition / Memorial Park/ The Heights neighborhoods, at 5016 Allen St, Houston, TX 77007, by appointment only. Parking is free and we are on the ground level.

We are constantly trying new lighting, backdrops, and posing techniques, so we always need fresh faces for our ever-expanding website portfolios and studio displays. We also tend to select subjects that have a personal meaning to us and that we are artistically inspired by.

No, we are looking for REAL mothers and children for our portfolios. Our clients are real people so we prefer to show real people in our wall displays, on our website, social media and in our portfolios. 

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring along other important family members, like a spouse if applicable, or grandparents. There is no charge for additional family members and we’ll include them for a part of your session; for example, at the end.

We block out an hour for your appointment. A standard session takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the number of people in the family and if there is an outfit change. We prefer to do two “looks” or outfits as part of our projects.

Unfortunately in the past when we offered complimentary sessions without any reservation fee, we experienced many late cancellations and no shows. We now require a $99 reservation fee to book your time on the studio’s calendar. This $99 fee can be applied in full to anything you order. You may also reschedule once for no additional fee as long as you provide us with 7 days or more notice.

No need to worry! Once your session is booked, we’ll send you ideas on what to wear and what works best in B&W and with our studio’s signature style.

One of our dedicated designers will review your portraits with you on Zoom within 1-2 weeks after your session, allowing you to experience and reflect on the beauty of your family using our fun and efficient selection process and unique software. As you select your favorite portraits and presentations that best suit your home, aesthetic and budget, we’ll help you to feel confident in your decisions. Our pricing starts at $495 and most clients who fall in love with their portraits typically spend $1500 and up on their selections

All orders are placed and taken care of at this meeting as on-line postings and printed proofs to take home are not available. The Zoom reveal is often described as one of our clients’ favorite and most memorable parts of working with us. Please review the Artwork Section of our website to see some of our most popular artwork for our clients with pricing.

An important note: If you are married or partnered, both you and your spouse or partner will not want to miss this Zoom, which currently takes place by appointment on Fridays and Sundays. Why is this? In most relationships, both members tend to like having at least some input (either financial or aesthetic) in the selection process. It’s also emotional, and happy tears can and do often happen. (Bring tissues, just in case!) Too many times, we have heard extreme regret when a partner has not been able to attend so while it is not required, it is strongly encouraged. Second Zoom appointments are expensive and can be challenging to accommodate as we are a boutique studio that is booked to a limited capacity so that we may serve our clients at the highest levels of attention and detail.

Family isn’t an important thing… it’s everything.

BACK IN 2018, WITH STARS IN OUR EYES AND CAMERAS IN HAND, WE SET OUT TO DOCUMENT THE MOMENTS AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT TRULY MATTER.
